Our lives are filled with stress, packed schedules and many responsibilities and expectations placed upon us. We must learn to relax the body in order to relax the mind and find peace within.
Yoga nidra is an ancient and profound active meditation process, also known as yogic sleep or psychic sleep, that combines science and spirit. One hour of yoga nidra is the equivalent of three hours of deep sleep, and the brain goes into alpha and deep theta wave states. Going into the state between sleeping and waking is a deeply healing and creative practice that allows you to experience deep relaxation while remaining awake and alert. In this workshop, we'll practice yoga nidra with complimentary meditation and pranayama to soothe the mind and body.
Some benefits of yoga nidra, meditation and pranayama include:
- relaxes the mind and body, powerfully counteracting stress and relaxing the nervous system.
- supports the healing process of psychological wounds
- engenders a profound sense of joy and wellbeing
- boosts creativity
- aids emotional healing
- supports healing from addiction
- helps you tap into your intuition and divine guidance
- through deep brain wave activity, one can tap into the unconscious mind.
- connects you with a higher level of consciousness and integrated state of being.
