Dorinda Nyberg

Dorinda’s teaching style helps students focus on intention and anatomical alignment through compassionate and clear instruction, skillful sequencing, and perceptive hands-on adjustments.  Her purpose is to help students experience this ancient practice in a way that reveals its wisdom, and ease.  Dorinda’s love of yoga comes through in her devotion to the intention of her teachers.  Her reverence for yoga’s complex lineage is balanced with humor so that students leave class feeling refreshed with clear minds and energized bodies.

Harla Hathaway

Join Harla in the journey that is yoga: a discovery process of breath, mind, body & spirit. Classes are structured to accommodate all seekers, from novice to veteran. Change is the universal constant, so expect to stretch, strengthen, lengthen and experience your body differently each week. Come to honor your body’s own physical limitations AND limitless potential.

Be ready to “hold space” for yourself during the practice - get out of your head, into your body - and breathe! Please bring a sense of curiosity, joy, and of course humor, to class. Harla's background includes years of dance and gymnastics training, hiking and much time pushing around weights at the gym, so she's familiar with unwinding those short twitchy muscle fibers.

To keep class offerings fresh and innovative, Harla continually expands her skill sets and knowledge of the body with classes and workshops in varying forms of yoga. Join her for a yoga experience that leaves you relaxed, revitalized, and in tune.

Harla teaches:

Mondays: Yoga Stretch 5:30 - 6:45 pm

Her teaching experience includes introduction to yoga, gentle yoga with seniors, and she enjoys being part of the healing experience with people in various stages of cancer treatment and remission at the Cancer Community in Walnut Creek. She has found yoga to be a significant support system in her life, as she improves her overall well being, health, posture, strength, and flexibility. Julie is passionate about teaching yoga to people of all ages and all body types. She believes anyone can practice yoga with gentle and safe alignment instruction. Marta Bulaich

Marta’s gravitation to yoga started as a child, watching morning yoga shows on TV.  Intrigued by how the practice helped her both athletically and academically, she continued experimenting with various styles of yoga, including Hatha, Ashtanga, Vinyasa, Isha and Iyengar.  In 2007, she decided to go deeper into her studies and completed the teacher training program at Avalon Yoga Center, with John Berg and Ben Thomas as her guides.  She recently finished her 500-hour teacher training at the SF Iyengar Institute, and continues to be mentored by Jaki and Allan Nett.

With a mantra of “movement is life”, her classes emphasize breathing synchronized with body dynamics and awareness.  A firm believer that asana and pranayama enable us to be masters of our bodies and minds, she is inspired to teach students to get to their edges and transcend them…in a safe and fun environment.

Marta teaches:

Tuesdays: Level 1-3 Iyengar Yoga 8:00 - 9:00 am
