Policies for In-Studio Classes

Welcome back to the Center! Now that we’ve reopened for in-studio classes, a few things have changed. Please read these policies carefully, before attending a class at the Center.

We’re doing our very best to provide a safe environment for everyone, following all guidance from the County, State, CDC and other agencies. And given the swift pace of change in that guidance, these policies will be updated frequently - so please check back regularly.

If you have any questions about these policies - or anything else, for that matter - please feel free to email us.

Class Size Limit

To meet State and County occupancy limits and insure proper social distancing, in-studio classes are currently limited to 6 students. See important information below regarding advance registration, which is now required.

Masks are required at all times: when entering and exiting the studio; during practice on your mat; and while moving around the studio.

Mat Spacing

Mats must be placed a minimum of 6 feet apart. Use the guide tape on the floor to place your mat.

Social Distancing

Physical distancing is required at all times while in the studio. Please maintain a 6-foot distance from others, when off your mat. The restroom is available if necessary, but we encourage you to take care of your needs at home prior to class.

Hand sanitizers are located on a table next to the sign-in desk. Sanitizing wipes and sprays are also available, should you care to disinfect your props, or the studio’s, before or after use.

You are strongly encouraged to bring your own mat and yoga props. However, if you’d like to use our props, here’s the procedure: A limited number of disinfected props will be available, in their regular places on the shelves. If you use our props, after the class place them on the floor in the far back right corner of the room (look for the sign on the wall). After use, those props will be disinfected, and then ‘rotated out’ into our storage closet, where they will rest peacefully for at least 7 days.

Advance Registration

Advance registration is now required for in-studio classes – no drop-ins.

Register at dywc.xxx

You must register online at least 2 hours before the class start time.

Registration will be closed at that time, and/or once the class reaches capacity.

If you register but are unable to attend, you must cancel your reservation at least 24 hours prior to class start time – otherwise, you will be charged for class, as the space could have been used by another student.

Check-in Procedure

The teacher will check you in on arrival. Only one person is allowed in the ‘reception area’ (sign-in desk / prop area) at a time, to maintain safe distancing.

Before and After Class

We know that socializing with your fellow students is an important part of your experience at the Center. To the greatest degree possible, please do that socializing on the deck outside the studio.

Personal Item Storage

You are free to store your personal items wherever feels best: indoor cubbies, outside cubbies, in your car, or next to your mat.

Cleaning and Disinfecting

High-touch / commonly used surfaces and objects will be disinfected before and after every class.

As much as possible, based on weather conditions, doors and windows will be opened to allow for improved air circulation. A new HEPA-13 air filter will also be running before, during and after classes.

Symptom Screening

Please self-check before attending class. If you feel unwell, are immune compromised or at-risk, please stay home and consider joining our online classes.

No Hands-on Adjustments

Teachers will be offering only verbal cues to assist you in poses.
