Originating in ancient India, the chakras are a complex energy system that resides in the body and that corresponds to bundles of nerves, major organs and even our emotional well-being.
In this interactive workshop, we'll begin with a lecture/discussion introducing the seven major chakras from a classical yoga perspective. We'll then be led through a gentle yoga practice, with poses selected to highlight the energies of each of the chakras individually. We'll finish with an exploratory guided meditation on the chakras, where we'll attempt to notice and sense our own chakras.
This is a beginner-friendly class, all levels of experience are welcome.
